DVD recorder..Which one need help....

Hi,
I am based in India and we use PAL system here.I plan to buy a DVD recorder but confused with description given by webdealers.

Can anyone let me know which recorder RECORDS IN PAL FROM PAL SOURCE AND NTSC FROM NTSC SOURCE...ie firewire source or composite/svideo.

Will Panasonic E50 or Pioneer DVR7000 does it?
Do they have diferent model for Europe and USA?

Help will be realyy appreciated.I want to purchase from ebay.

RECORDS IN PAL FROM PAL SOURCE AND NTSC FROM NTSC SOURCE....this is correct.
For instance...I have a Philips DVDR985(US Version) here in Germany. It now records in PAL format because it is in a PAL environment.
It used to record in NTSC in America....America is NTSC.

Yes.

Usualy when recorder supports recording in PAL and NTSC, it means it will record NSTC signal into NTSC DVD and PAL signal into PAL DVD.

TV Tuner is usually only one. NTSC or PAL.

Whatever the incoming source is...NTSC or PAL.....THAT is what you will get on your recorded DVD.

I think all models do not record in NTSC from NTSC source and PAL from PAL source.Panasonic has models for US which record only in NTSC and will not take PAL...Please confirm .

Do Pioneer models also are country specific that it record in NTSC in US and PAL in UK?
