  1. I have just installed my amd athlon xp 2500 on my asus a7n8x-x but when I turn my computer on, the post after the detection of ide drives, says:

    Warning! Cpu have changed.

The post also says that my athlon 2500 is 1100 and is running at 100mhz when it should be 333 mhz. Why is it doing this and what should I do?

  2. enter into your bios setup.. usually hit delete during boot.
Manually set your settings to the correct ones.

Warning: If your motherboard is like mine, you will have to set your FSB to 166mhz (which gets doubled to 333) or you may just blow up that new processor.

Actually right now i'm running my 2600+ at 166fsb (333 when doubled) x14

I think it's designed to run at 133x16 or something like that.

This will happen anytime your PC doesn't shut down properly with that board. It's one of my favorite single AMD boards but it has that odd bug with it. Once you know how to fix it you can do it again if need be.
