  1. I bought a 50 pack of sky branded dvd-r 4x media, when I am backing up my movies I figured out if I didn't lower the total size to 4350mb or lower it would not close the disc and just sit there until I ended the tast and have to restart the machine to eject the disc. Funny thing is that these discs will work in a home player, but a dvd-rom will not recognize the disc. The other probelm is that about 40 minutes into the movie it will get jittery where I have to skip the track to get past it, which lasts about 10mins. Also there is a ring on the burned side that is darker than the rest and I am guessing this is the section that is the probelm. Anyone else run into this sort of thing. I am using a Pioneer 106d with Nero 6

  2. In my Pioneer the Sky 4X only works if I burn at 2X so try that. For the record I have never had a bad Sky 4X disc however they only burn at 2x on my Pioneer 105 and Sony DRU-500ax. I use RecordNow Max to do my burns FYI.

I do have some princo's that I order and going to see if the work better. this is the media in questions http://www.yesbuy.net/4xdvdr50pcs.html
