I think your problem might be the player you are using....

When I make a cd mix with no pauses....it plays fine on my panasonic cd player, but when I put it in my Aiwa I get an extremely small pause between tracks.

I am pretty sure it is the cd/dvd player since they play fine on other players.

    Have you tried other players?

  3. Under "write method" make sure you are selecting "disk-at-once" not "track-at-once".
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

I have been using nero.....using disk at once...and choosing 0 pause between tracks (except for the first which requires a 2 second gap)

And it really does depend on the player in my experience....see if you can try a disc on a friends player to see if it works to be sure.

When I burn I use Nero Burning Rom....I never used the express....I think it just has preset options and I hate that.

With rom make sure to set the pause between tracks at 0 and when you go to burn choose disc at once.

I've burned lots of techno cd's that are one continuious mix. I alwas use nero burning rom, and always select "disk at once." They have all worked just fine.

Magnesio, when you start Nero Burning Rom select Audio CD. Once you drag all of your mp3's to the compilation(the left side of the screen), select all of your tracks except the first one, then right click and select "Properties". Once the properties window pops up change the pause from 2 to 0. As stated earlier, the first track must have a 2 second gap at the begining. Finally, burn in DAO(disc at once).

There's a little more to creating a gapless transistion with MP3's. It not he burning softwares fault but the nature of the MP3 format itself.

MP3's use frames. If the song ends and the last frame isn't filled up with audio data, the encoder puts in 0's to fill up the frame. This is where the gap comes from.

If you create the CD as an audio CD then you can get rid of the gap by either-
    1. importing the MP3's into a wave editor and edit the gap out or
    2. use the crossfade option in your burning software (Nero has this) nad crossfade by a few milliseconds.

  11. how do U select burning MP3s in Nero 6, not Nero Express?

How does this crossfade work? I haven't seen it anywhere?

  13. I'm sorry to sound like an idiot, but I dont' have data CD as an option when I open Nero.

    I have
    CD-ROM (ISO)
    Audio CD
    Mixed Mode CD
    CD Extra
    CD Copy
    Video CD
    Super Video CD
    Mini DVD
    CD ROM (Boot)
    CD ROM (Hybrid)
    CD-ROM (UDF)
    CD-ROM (UDF/ISO)

Under Audio CD, it doesn't list an option to burn a music CD or an MP3 CD

I added all the files to Nero Express as an MP3 CD, then changed to Nero Burning Rom and it had the same compilation, but there was no option to crossfade or remove the pause from the tracks.

    HELP!!!!

OK! Didn't know that. Strange naming IMHO! Nor do they mention it on their web site as far as I can see...
