I jus got a Dazzle DVCII and I want to record an avi from my pc to a VHS tape with my DVC2, what i have to encode it as, I have TMPGenc. What settings do i use, i've tried everything and MovieStar couldn't import the movie. Ive tried SVCD,VCD, and DVD Templates, and moviestar still can't import them, whats wrong with this?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Personally, after I encode with TMPG I burn it to cd and then record to tape from my DVD player. This way you can use whatever encoding you like that is compatible with your dvd player without fighting with Dazzle or Movie Star.

I have no problem in importing MPEG1 and 2 files even some non-standard bitrate file to MovieStar. Check your TMPGEnc settings in encoding the avi file.
