Ok, slightly different question then the one nobody answered..
Anybody know if transferring DVCPRO to miniDV causes a significant loss in quality? It would make it easier for me to edit from miniDV with less quality loss than converting to DVD MPEG-2.

DVCPRO and DV is almost the same quality. I have not seen any device that will change the digital stream from DVCPRO to DV, so you will have to use the composite or S-Video to "record" the DVCPRO video to DV format. Some DV camcorders have analog input so you can convert to DV on the fly. You should see very little degregation going from DVCPRO to DV.
