I'm using IfoEdit to put together a DVD with LPCM audio. When it is done authoring and I play it back in PowerDVD I hear the audio fine, but the video plays MUCH faster -- maybe twice as fast. However, when I author the m2v with an mp2 encoded from the original wav, it's fine (except for lossy sound of the mp2 which is the whole reason I'm doing LPCM). I know people have had this problem before but I tried a search and found no topics on it. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks!

I believe the new version,0.96,has an option to correct the synch on LPCM.

I'll have to search for info on that. It's just very odd that the video plays blazingly fast while the audio plays normally. What do all you IfoEdit users out there use for homemade videos (not reauthoring commercial DVDs)? Mp2s or LPCM? The mp2s just sound like crap verses the LPCM.

Hmm. I checked out Doom9's forum on IfoEdit and it looks like IfoEdit has issues with NTSC and LPCM. They say you can convert the wav to an ac3 and feed that to IfoEdit and it will work. Though I can't find any freeware to convert a wav to an ac3 that will work on all standalones, specifically Pioneer players. Granted, I haven't looked hard, but I think I'll just go with DVD-Lab.
