  1. hi i put the thin red line onto dvd ussing dvd shrink and nero plays on pc fine ut not standalone ????????

  4. What do you mean other sources, if you are only using dvd shrink then there should be no problem. Have you tried using different media ?

  6. there could be a media quality issue. if its cheap media it may have problems. also what settings are you using in Nero? If you aren't burning in the correct UDF setting then it usually results in DVDs that play fine in the PC but won't play in a standalone.

    Could also be a PAL/NTSC issue. My Samsung standalone refuses to play PAL.

  10. are you burning disc at once and finalizing the disc after burn in Nero? If not, that might also be your problem.

  11. find out what version of Nero you are using. so long as is version 6 or up or some of the very latest V5, update if you don't have it, then you should use the DVD-Video template.

    Sounds like media , I find that only certain media plays on standalone's . Cheap Disks cause serious problems in fact the cheapest disks won't even play on the Writer that I burn them on but they work in most DVD-ROM's
