  1. I'm actually authoring DVD's from VHS cassettes, on PRINCO media (120 min. - 4,7 Gb)and every time I burn (1x) more then 70/75 minutes the video plays fine but when its gets nearly at the end it freezes getting completaly stuck or if I'm lucky plays very slowly jumping lots of frames....
I've tried VERBATIM media with no change.
    These are the videos parameters rendered: mpeg 2 - res:720 x 576 - 25 fps - 6000 bps - data rate variable - fields order A
I've tried to play them on more than one table DVD player and it does the same on any of them.
I've got a Pioneer DVR-105 recorder and I've used DVD MOVIE FACTORY 2.0 LE as software.
Well I wouldn't mind if I couldn't sort this out, but I will be very happy if I Knew whose the fault is between the Recorder, the software or me......

    Getting MAD
    Bye Eddy

  2. some things to look at -

check the total file size on those bad burned disks - if they are > 4.1 gig, you may be getting into the less stable outer area of the disk - which in combination with any other marginal factors ( player s/w, etc.) can make for the problem you are having.

    other things:
    no dvd paper labels.
    defrag just before burning.
latest upgrades for s/w and same for burner firmware.
consider a cuppla rw disks while troubleshooting to reduce coaster pile.
