I searched this board for answers, but didn't run across direct answers to my 2 questions.
I pulled a few scenes off of some DVDs, and I want to create fade in/out effects on them. The way I see it, I have to demux the VOB files, then edit the AC3 for fades. Now...is it possible to edit the AC3 files directly? Or am I going to have to convert them to .wav first?
If I have to convert to .wav to edit, then have to convert back to AC3, am I going to have quality loss? Also, will this give my SYNC problems when I combine the newly edited AC3 stream & mpeg2 stream back to a VOB file?
To sum it up...is it possible to edit AC3 files without losing quality???
