    I did it yesturday at home and got:

    Download: 2285kbps
    Upload: 225kbps

    Yeh!, well, with my 2 baked bean cans and a piece of string i'm topping out at around 4 gig per second
    seriously though, for someone like me who has been on 56k for the last 5 years, 500k is an absolute god send

    I agree. I remember when we went to broadband. I couldn't believe how fast it was.

  13. Is that in your home, tgpo? If so, you lucky git! We get 70KB/sec (576kbps connection) if we're lucky at home.

    However, since I live at uni, I use ResNET. 100Mbps connection, I can get speeds of 6.3MB/sec from fast sites if the network is quiet. Normally, though, I only get between two and four megs a second.

    I pay £80 a year for this. :P

    Yeah that was from home. They just recently upped our upload speeds. We pay $40/month for cable and modem use.
