    my firewall alerts the following:

    " 'SVCD2DVD' from your computer wants to connect to www.**********.com [66.232.131.11], port 80 "

    I think it's not a good style
    to implement such "Ad- or Spy-ware" into a (payed) Software like SVCD2DVD !!

    and why comes this alert evey 5 minutes ?

    Chris ?

  2. I never seen such a message in my firewall. If i didn't know better some cracked the program and put it in, but you got a bought version so that can't be it.

    Dit you run adware if another program is doing it? Or a virus scanner to see if you got a virus?
    Greatings,

    You should use a better firewall
    (Tiny Personal firewall - the old version 2.0.15 A is still the best)

    Try www.*********.com (see my post above)
    and then
    try http://SVCD2DVDmpg.com
    and then
    tell me the difference 8)

    It is neither Adware or spyware. It just polls svcd2dvdmpg.com to ensure the registration is valid. No data is sent up the wire. Block it if you wish - you will not suffer any loss of functionality.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
