I have a concert DVD which I have ripped to my h/d. I want to put the music from the concert onto CD-R. I have VOB files etc on my h/d. Any ideas on how I do this and software to use? Thanks in advance.

  2. VobEdit might do it - by demuxing the vob's to get separate audio/video files....

then you may have to convert the audio file to whatever filetype you want to put on your cd

  3. if you go to the HOW TO section of this site and go to DVD RIP Under the header DVD Rip sections: click on the link How to rip DVD to VCD or XVCD. That will take farther down the page. Find the link that says Sefy's classical DVD to VCD ripping gude. Once there click the link saying Part 2 - FramServing. You dont need part 1, you have already the VOB files. Follow thw guild and pay paticular attention to Steps 1g/1h this talks about Dolby Surround Downmix and converting the 48Khz Audio Sample into a 44.1Khz. which is what you will need to create a CD. Once you have followed the steps you should have a WAV file of the whole DVD. now splitting that wave file into tracks is a whole new process which I dont have the time right now to explain. There is probably a simpler way of doing this but this the way I rip digital sound track off DVDs.

I hope this will help you

    good luck

  4. VOBEDIT to demux to AC3.
AC3Tool to convert to 48khz WAV.
www.cdwave.com to split into tracks and convert 48khz WAV to 44.1khz WAV.
All tools are free but Goldwave can do it all.
note:If the audio is DTS forget it,there is no software that will convert it digitally.
