  1. Hi all, im using the Winfast TV2000 Expert card and so far so good.

the best capturing i have done has been using VirtualVCR (the amended version).

However, I cannot for the life of me get VirtualDub to capture, ive gone through all the guides and tutorials but when I try to change the capture resolution to 104x576 it says it isnt supported (but i can capture at this with virtual vcr).

Then when i try to capture, it says not enough memory (for video buffer???), or something along those lines.

    Any suggestions?

My system is a P4 2.5Ghz with 512 Mb and similar spec throughout.

    Cheers.

  2. me either

Can't use VDub on anything bigger than 352x240

I think it has to do that the card uses WDM drivers and VDub uses VFW

tried using the wraper but it didn't work for me.

I also use VirtualVCR. What is the "amended version"?

  3. The amended version is available from the tools section (under virtual vcr) on this site.

I think its just got a slight tweak in it so that it works with the winfast 2000 card.

I think to capture at higher resolutions, you need the wrapper (Vdub won't even recognize it without it) and the btwincap drivers. I am not sure why it won't capture at lower resolutions. There are some new drivers on Leadtek's site, but I don't know what they fix. Since my setup works for me, I haven't tried them. I use Winfast PVR. I only use Vdub to do some minor clipping and filtering.

Yeah the Leadtek drivers don't play well with Virtualdub or VirtualVCR. However the btwincap drivers work like a charm. I capture with VirtualVCR or Vdub @ 720x480. The drivers wont work with the Leadtek PVR software though. I gave up on the Leadtek drivers and software since the PVR program tends to drop frames even on a decent system.

Won't work with 98. I think the Expert card use a different chip, so it will not work with BT. But I think the expert card works fine with vdub without it.

Just bought/installed the Leadtek tv2000 xp deluxe and have been playing with different caps, etc.

Since I want to be able to burn later to dvd (option) most have been mpeg2 codic but under audio it shows mpg-1 layer-2 using 44.1mhz and not 48 which I thought was necessary to be compliant, anyway ulead MF-2 will not burn dvd from files without re-encoding. YES, I have the box checked for "do not convert compliant files"

I downloaded the latest drivers and pvr software from site, files dated 12-31-2003

over the night I tried scheduled directburn dvd-ntsc and now have coaster that shows as audio disc

running w98se fat32 file sys so limited in file size, formats that will do 2 hr movie
