Can any body tell me how to convert a VHS tape to a DVD.

Simplest thing to do is to get a standalone dvd recorder and hook it up to your vcr. It's also the most expensive. The next easiest is to get a Canopus AVDC and dump it into your computer as avi files. Then use authoring software to convert your avi files to dvd compliant files. to get you started and to narrow your search, answer this question: do you want this to be a hobby or do you just want to get it done. If its a hobby, look at capturing using various capture cards. If you just want to get it done, use a hardware dvd recorder.
