Well, you could make the images part of the VCD MPEG. Video Studio can do this very easily. TMPGEnc can do it, but you need to mux it with a dummy sound that last as long as you want the JPEG to be displayed.

Use Gold Wave. Select File-->New. Adjust the time to how long you want the image to be displayed. Save as a wave file. Load TMPGEnc Plus. Load the JPEG as video and the wave file as audio. Name the output file and select Start. The resultant file will be an MPEG file that shows only your JPEG and have no sound.

    1. Select Fil-->New. Select the time you want your JPEG to be displayed in Length. Select OK.

    2. A blank sound graph will appear.

    3. Select File-->Save As. When the box appears, ensure Wave file is selected, name your wave file, select Save. A empty wave file has just been created.

  8. I just ran into a problem. After I created the wav file I opened the TMPG program and as u said before I put the wav file as audio and the JPEG as video. I converted it and Tried to record it as vcd using NERO.And the problem is when I drag the the new file already converted I get a message:the given file is invalid.Need MPEG1 which was encoded for VCD.
    The following problems were :
stream encoding which is invalid for VCD
    no adudio
    no video'
Tha's the message.ANd I dont know what might have gone wrong.Thx

  9. I would recommend taking a look to the left under Author at the 'author a VCD slide show' guide. There are several programs that can do this for you. The easiest way IMHO is with VCD Easy (you can d/load an older freeware verison either under tools or at http://www.doom9.org).

VCD Easy will allow you to just drag/drop you jpg files to author a VCD.
