hey guys, whats up... iv been real busy lately. I opened up a new business and it has gotten the most of me latley.
Anyway, I havent burned a dvd in a long time. The last movie of mine I recorded was Gangs of New York and that was when it first came out. So its been a while. I hope I am not out of line, if so please delete my thread if anything is disturbing...
I was hoping someone could help refresh my memory. When I last did it, I think I was using IMGTOOL and DVDFAB, I think If I remember this route lets me keep all the menus, quality, etc but just has to be on 2 discs... i also tried dvdshrink but I could never get a movie on one disc and keep menus, etc
so, my question is... since its been a few months, what are your steps in doing a movie now? is dvdfab upgraded now? i remember alot of people werent too fond of it at the time cuz it was so new....

i just downloaded all the newest versions... but my dvdshrink was dvdshrink23.zip so whatever version that was...
at the time, i personally thought it was cooler to have all the menus, extras and 100% quality... thats why i did dvdfab and most all had to go on 2 discs.
but now looking... i dont know if I like it that way... for one, it cost twice as much to do it that way and for another... its sorta a pain to get up and put in another disc in the middle of a movie...
how do the majority of you guys do it? do you do 2 discs and keep EVERYTHING or try and shrink it down?
got one question... for large movies like LOTR or something.... what do you do if dvdshrink doesnt work... i mean, to fit on a disc u have to shrink it WAY down... almost to still images to make it fit... that wont work... -
not sure if its possible, but thought I would check.... can you copy all the extras onto a disc by itself and the movie on one?

scott015, you can do it with DVD Shrink; well, sort of.
1) Make a "movie-only" backup using Reauthor (no menu).
2a) Use Full-Disk for the extras, applying "Still Pictures" to the movie title.
2b) Use Reauthor to make a compilation of the extras (no menu).
