Cyberhome 1500 edit title fix

I just visited Cyberhome.com and found that they are now offering a download which will fix the problem of being unable to edit the title on DVD+R disks.

Personally, I have the model 2500. Should I try the fix on MY unit?

I thought that 2500 is same as 1500 only in black. Am I wrong ? Try to contact their support.

I, too, thought the 2500 was the same as the 1500 except for the color. The firmware download for the 1500 has two versions, depending on the type of tuner ("X" or "P"). I downloaded the "X" version, but don't know whether I should risk using it with my 2500. I wonder if it could do some harm if it's not compatible.

Customer support is nowhere to be found.

Thanks a ton for this link. I just upgraded mine and I'm about to give it the test. Version info looks right...wish me luck.

Are there any more firmware upgrades for this machine at this time?

You're welcome. I hope you have the same success as I. I followed the procedure on the Cyberhome website and upgraded my firmware earlier today. Initial tests showed that everything is working fine, and I can now edit titles on +R disks. I feel much better about owning this unit now.
