  1. im new so be kind if its in the wrong place or off topic..

    i know how to make my movie files into svcd's ,,

    but can i and how do i ,,if i can do the same thing onto a dvd disc so

    i can put complete shows or many shows onto 1 disc???

  2. can't just copy svcd's over onto dvd's to take advantage of thier bigger capacity. Most set top players can't play such

    but, look over in the "convert" section (l/h column this page) - ther are several guides there for converting svcd's to dvd's, including what software was used, etc. Or you can process your source files to DVD instead of SVCD.

    do your background research, try to work with freeware/trial apps first & pick up a cupple rw dvd disks to avoid an expensive coaster collection.

    SVCD to DVD will need some conversion as the SVCD resolution (576x480) or (480x480) is not a legal DVD resolution and the audio will normally need to be resampled to 48KHz from 44.1Khz . As the post above quite rightly suggests one should have some rewritable disks to use particularly to ascertain as to what any standalone player will accept in terms of non-standard DVD's . Having tested a variety of odd formats on many DVD players there is considerable variation in how far beyond standard DVD , SVCD , VCD a player will travel .
