  1. I am trying to burn a DVD that will, for instance play in a shop window all day long. It doesnt appear to be an option on my DVD player. Can you program the DVD to start up automatically on insert and play on a continuous loop until it is ejected? What is a good authoring tool for this if so. Using a PC...

    Thanks

If you can get a copy of it try DVD Maestro. I haven't tried any other 'serious' authoring software but I know that tyhis one will allow you to create a loop. I'm not sure if any mainstream (read el-cheapo) authoring software will let you do this but basically you add your movie to loop into the project and set the "Next Play" item to itself. You can specify the number of times to loop or just have it loop forever. You can also set the actions for other buttons as well so you can escape from the loop.

Some players will let you set them to repeat the selected video until you stop them.

If you aurthor the DVD in DVD-Lab, then it should allow you to do this as well.

It won't really be an option to select, you would just link it together to do it.
