Hi all! I posted this in the general newbies section, but I thought I'd try it here as well -- my apologies to anyone who's already read it.
Let's say that I'm using a Canopus ADVC-100 to capture analog video, and then saving the file using Windows Movie Maker. When I run the avi through TMPGEnc, I end up with mpegs which are slightly shorter than the original avis (1-2 seconds), at least as listed by Windows Media Player. VDubMod is not detecting any errors in any of the original files, and the number of frames in the two files is identical...
Any idea what else might be causing this?

Yeah, I think you're right. When I load the element streams into WMP, they are listed as being the correct duration, but once I mux them they start showing as shorter than they are. Well, solves that!
