  1. Hey there

I have a problem with my digitall camera movies. After I record the movie and upload it to my computer I want it to be playable in my DVD player.Someone recommended me to use TMPEG encoder and I did. After I converted the file and I burned it to a cd using NERO I was able to play the movie on my DVD but the movie wasn't fluent I was watching it frame by frame.BY the way I don't know was was I not able to see the pics which I earlier recored.I used to have a program which was encoding the file and after I recordered it it was workinf smoothly. Please help me out and find a possible solution to my problem.

Thank you and please be specific cuz I'm not really good in this Im a newbie. Thx

  2. The title says "VCD", yet you refer to DVD in your posting. These are 2 different standards. Are you attempting to Author the MOV to a DVD or are you burning a VCD to DVD media?

If the object is to create a VCD and burn to CD-R, see if this guide helps ...

If you are converting to VCD (MPEG-1) and then authoring to DVD, that's a whole different matter. You would actually need to convert to MPEG-2 with very specific DVD format parameters. A little more complex and probably will involve 1 or more different guides.

  3. Thx for your reply.I meant to create a VCD which I could play in a DVD media. The link you gave me is with the program I already have.It used to convert the files the proper way and after I burned it it was perfect. Then i converted the file and burned it as a VCD and when I played it in my DVD the movie was shown frame by frame. So I don't know if the problem remains because of the program or waht ?

  4. That is a completely different matter and once considerably more complex. Most DVD players expect DVD compliant files when they detect DVD media in the drive. They just go nuts when they expect one thing and are presented with another. There are ways to get this to work, but frankly, I have never done it.

Perhaps one of these guides may help ...

    This one looks promising: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/svcd2dvdr.htm
