    Yes it's called DivX.

Oh wait, you already have a DivX? Sorry, it will only get bigger after you convert it, it's alread as small as you can make it.

You cna glue the 2 AVI's together and probably convert it to 2 VCD's if it's under 160 minutes or 3 otherwise.

You can make reduced bitrate VCD's where the Video Bitrate is reduced down to about 900-950KBps instead of the usual 1150 KBps , this would normally allow something that takes up 3 disks to fit onto 2 ,however as far as standalone players are concerned these are non standard and there's no guarantee they will work . MY own player did play these and it was wonderfully useful as material shorter than 100 mins would fit onto 1 CD but as the compression is higher there is some loss in quality .

You have 3 choices, make 2 vcd`s ,buy a dvd/divx player or buy a dvd burner and author the the whole movie to one dvd.

  5. Do u use TMPGEnc to convert your avi to mpeg? If so u should consider using KWAG's templates from www.kvcd.net
It has different vcd templates, there is a template that allows you to fit the movie on one cd, by reducing the bitrate and other settings. Try it!

I use TMPEG to do the VCD's however never tried the KWAG templates I just unlock the Normal VCD Profile and reduce the Bitrate manually to whatever I've calculated to be optimum for the length of the AVI File
