Why does the 255-character limit include spaces and bbcode?
If I link to an URL, it'll wipe out a third to half of the signature space, even if the only thing you see in the the forum is a single word (or even just a letter).
I have a 235-char sig right now, but 266 with space. Keep chopping off words. Most of that is the URLs I have linked, very few words.
Anything be done to fix this, Baldrick? Exclude spaces or bbcode from the char count?

Sometimes you can trick it, but it is hit or miss. And then if you need to edit something, you are doomed. The number of lines affects the count too.
