VCD on Harman Kardon DVD 30

Hello

Have some trouble running VCD discs on my DVD player. I have burned a VCD disc with Nero Burning Rom 5.5 and when I put it in the DVD player (a HK DVD 30) it displays the folder structure and searches within the folders without finding anything. No files are visible within the folders. I cannot play the VCD disc and I have tested that same disc on a pioneer an a centrum DVD player where it works fine.

Anyone recognizes this problem and has a solution?

assuming your player is a set top model, you might want to check it's owner's manual to see if it was desigend to play vcd's. Some dvd players do not.

Yes, DVD 30 can handle both VCD and SVCD. There is a VCD icon in the DVD-players display that lights up when inserting the disk, but it doesn't play. The manual is not very helpful regarding this problem either.

The only thing I can suggest is to try using a different authoring application such as vcdeasy. Worth a shot ?
