    I just got my DVDr70 today and am a little confused. Are you supposed to see the TV channel on EXT1 when you are about to record? All i can see is the philips blue screen and in the bottom left hand corner, amongst other things, it just says the TV channel rather than actually displaying it like a VHS recorder would.

    Is EXT1 the default on a 70 if you just press RECORD?
    Is there a "monitor" button on a 70's remote?
