Hi, I'm trying to backup my DVD to DVDR keeping the menu (which is a nice video) but without other parts. More than that, I have my reasons to 'play' with the subtitles and I want to be able to re-author the DVD with my subtitles instead of the original (just to replace one .sup file with another).
The problem is that DVDShrink 2.3 and 3.0 beta both fails to analyze the DVD (known problem:"Invalid nv_pck: nv_vobu_ea") and DVDStripper has no demo. Any other software I can use to get my results ?
(I'm looking for 'easy' method before trying to learn how to use IfoEdit)
Thanks

I copied the whole DVD to HD (extracted), the question is how do I maintain the indexes ? and I tried tmpegenc DVD, it does not seems to analyze nor use the original DVD information.
I mentioned the menu is a movie, it means somewhere there is information of which frames of the menu to play according the user input (remote control buttons). I need to re-create the vobs and ifo files with the right indexes so everything will still work fine after burning. The scenario I thought I should use:
1. analyze and extract the DVD contents
2. replace the subtitle file
3. re-author and burn (using the info it got from step 1)
I need help finding a tool to do steps 1 and 3 (maybe tools similar to DVDShrink and DVDStripper).
