Hi all, I've created various clips with Adobe Premiere Pro and trying to get the 'pause' picture on DVD-R to be perfect on TV. But there is a double, flickering image whenever I hit the pause button on my standalone dvd player.
- My source is ntsc and I produce ntsc format.
- I do not deinterlace my materials.
- I used Adam's method, ie TMPGENC to test whether I should use Upper or Lower Field and it came out Lower Field but my eyes tell me it is definitely Upper Field as all transitions turn out to be jerky if Lower Field is used. However if I ignore transitions frames, the clips all appear find with either Lower or Upper Field encoding.
I use Pioneer SA-633A (comes with progressive scan feature). Is it normal to have double, flickering image when I hit pause on my Pioneer? If not, what am I doing wrong? I want to create 'perfect pause' clips on my standalone.
Really hope someone can assist me on this as I have created so many test clips over the entire weekend and still can't get it right. All advice will be most appreciated!![]()
