  1. Have been using TMPGEnc Author for months without error, but suddenly today i got this strange error

"The audio playback was stopped automatically because the CPU was not powerful enough"

WTF am using a 3.7Ghz PIV

I have installed a Creative Audigy in the mean time so figure its some wanky Creative (spits) driver error?

Anyone seen this before - know how to fix it?

  2. 3.7Ghz P4, So you ar eoverclocking then?

Is your PCI bus running at the right speed, Maybe it is running to high.

Remove your audio card and regress back to what worked and test.

    Good Luck

I get the same error all the time in editing mode with TMPGenc DVD Author and I too have a powerful new machine (3.0 Ghz Pentium 4). I have a soundblaster live 5.1 card that came with my PC installed. If anyone knows anything about this error (fix, cause, etc.), please let me know.

  6. Does anyone know how/why this happens? Seems like it might be a video driver problem? I also have a P3-1Ghz with ATI AIW 128 pro graphics card. I get this error only when trying to edit MPEG2 video, MPEG1/VCD video is no problem and flies, but the MPEG2 video is jerky and constantly gives this error when trying to edit.

Nobody else has had this problem besides us few folks?

Unfortunately, no clue. I see very little on the net about that specific problem. Can you isolate it as coming from TDA or from a different program? I did see one other report that it happened when editing with TDA, but no solution.

The only other thing I can suggest is to find the TDA website and maybe a forum there and present your question to them. Have you tried running Task Manager and see what your CPU use is when the error happens?

I doubt it would have anything to do with your video drivers as your video card has nothing to do with editing or encoding.
