I've been using Ritek GO-3s for burning my projects from Preimer, via a Sony RDR GX-7. The results have been excellent, but not without issues.
The disks playback beautifully on the Sony and on my Pansonic portable. However, my Toshiba portable is a little critical of some of the disks.
I took my disks and mounted them to a hard drive duplicator. The dups are identical. So infact that the errors the Toshiba finds occur in the exact same place on the disks. Goes to show the duplicator is doing it job.
So the Toshiba finds errors, so does other friends players. It was getting frustrating. Until....... I tried burning my projects to DVD+RW (Philips) and the Toshiba plays them clean to the end.
Now the Good Part. Mounting the DVD+RW image to the hard drive duplicator and then burning to the GO-3s = perfect dupes that play just the way the DVD-RW does in the Toshiba.
Neat, So I sent out 20 DVD-Rs to friends last week and since have received all positive replies back on playability. Usually there was at least a few in that many that had problems.
It was serendipitous that I found it out.
Just thought I'd let all of you know. I'm so happy.![]()
