CYBERHOME 1500 PROBLEM

I have been visiting the forum for a few months and since I recently received this recorder, I have run into a few glitches here and there. When recording from Directv, all channels are fine except for Turner Classic Movies. On this channel, the sound is badly out of synch. Any ideas why this is? This is my favorite channel and the only way for me to record TCM is to first record to my vcr and then play that back and record to DVD. Any help would be appreciated. SHAZAM!!

Did you try connecting via the S-Video IN or Video IN connectors rather than co-axle? You will get a much better quality recording if you connect with S-Video IN and I have not noticed any sync problems with DirecTV, though admittedly I have not tried TCM.

Mediaman2000. I have tried every connection. Same results. Tune in to TCM and see if you have the same problem. Is there a firmware upgrade for the 1500? Would that help? I have no way of downloading the firmware. Can I buy it?

I'm on Directv and I'm tuned to TCM through my ch-dvr 1500 right now and I honestly can't tell if it's out of synch or not.If so,it's only by a fraction of a second.Maybe it's just me.
