  1. Hello, I used the program WMRecorder to copy a stream video to WMV file but the file that It created is too big, is there any program (or any other way) that you can compress the file to be smaller then it is now
    do I need to convert it to a different format ?

  2. Windows Movie Maker should let you do so. Its free and you might have it already if your running XP. I think it comes free with Xp. Also version 1 came with Windows ME but version one really sucked so get version 2 anyway.

  3. Is it worth the lowering in quality that will happen when you re-compress a already compressed file? Only you can decide. You will lower quality when you compress it further.

  4. You could use Windows Media Encoder and try several of the templates provided or customize various aspects (size, bitrate, etc). Give it a try -- it is actually a pretty good application. A little more versatile at this kind of stuff than MM2.
