    I just installed the Sony CRX 300A and it plays dvds fine but it won't detect a CD of any type. It lists the drivers as being for the CRX 300E is this wrong? It installed automatically upon startup. Any help would be appreciated.

    possible you got a defective unit.

    you might try for an exchange.. and also look for any other support info from sony's website concerning those drivers. Sorry, I don't have an url for them.

    Thanks, I just returned it and picked up a Lite-On combo drive and all is well.
