My first post is not going to add anything to the wealth of information on this site and forum. I just want to say thanks.
I've been reading the guides, reviews, and forums for about six months (maybe longer?), trying to get a handle on everything. Finally got my DVD burner (Pioneer 106A) a week ago, and within a few days I authored and burned an 18 episode simpsons dvd and a Rounders backup dvd without all the FBI crap at the beginning. Without this site (and forum), I'd still be reading the manual for my burner.
Wait, it was OEM. Didn't have a manual. Just some bubble wrap. But you know what I mean.
Thanks to everyone who makes this site THE place to visit for all your DVD burning needs (no offense to doom9), from Baldrick on down. I'm flat broke, so I've been using free and trial ware, using this site I know what programs to avoid and which ones to grab. I've probably saved hundreds of hours, you guys rock.
I promise from here on out, my posts will be witty, informative, and smell of jasmine in the evening.
Happy Newb Year!
