Hi,
I'm a new owner of Panasonic DMR-E60. Unfortunately from a missinformation from the seller I thought I can record straight onto the DVD-RW. I specified this 3 times, and they assure me " Oh yeah, no problem, is working great ! " Tried home, and it was working but no so great , I mean not at all with DVD-RW.
Anyway it seems to be a good machine, especially I want to have firewire input to transfer my movie from camcorder to DVD-R writer ( actually I want to transfer from computer right from timeline to DVD-R writer but it seems not to be possible, and I really hate this).
My question is if I copy something on DVD-RAM and I want to copy in next step to DVD-R what should I do, or which is the best method to do this, do not loose quality ( at all, or as much as possible) ?
Somebody told me I can use a different DVD-RAM palyer machine and then transfer to Panasonic E60 to copy DVD-R. OK, but what about the quality ? because for the maximum quality I have to use SVHS.
Do I have to use a DVD-RAM computer player ? and then copy into DVD-R computer DVD recorder ?
Thank you very much, I appreciate your help![]()

Try look in posts about transfering from RAM to DVD... or posts about Panasonic. This issue was discussed couple of times already.

Actually I did come here and read. That's why I triple ask those sellers, and they assure me this unit will work with DVD-RW. For a moment I thought is something new, or new firmware update that's why I swallow the ball.
But hey, I'm still happy with this overall -
Still after 4 hours of search on this forum, I can't find the straight answer to my question. All opinions of course count, but let's say informative only. Everybody say how to do but not in the best quality ways.

1) record to dvd-ram.
2) Copy everything to computer with a dvd-rom that can read dvd-ram. You can get a Toshiba dvd-rom for about $40.
3) Use Tmpgenc Author to author the vr_movie.vro file. You can download a trial version of Tmpgenc Author. It is good for 30 days.
4) Use Tmpgenc Author to burn.
