  1. I recently filmed my sisters wedding, and basicly wasen't prepared, my tri-pod was very squeeky and the mic on the camera picked it all up, sounds like my sister is farting everytime i turned it. Although i like it, i doubt she would. Is there any way anyone knows how i might be able to take out the annoyance audio while keeping the quartet / talking sounding decent? i don't care if it doesn't sound as great as it should have as long as the fart sound goes away.

  3. I'm a noob but www.goldwave.com will let you take your audio track and, if you can find the farting sound by itself without a bunch of other background noise, then copy it to your clipboard, then use the noise reduction function and refer it to the clipboard, it SHOULD remove that particular noise, or most of it, from your track. Prepare to fiddle with it.

It also depends on how much variation there is in the sound. It may remove it all or you may get weird echoes of the sound without the actual sound. Do farts echo?

If there is speech or music mixed in with the noise, you'll start to lose some of it. I'm sure there are semi-pros here with other ideas.

Never video your own family's weddings. There is no upside.

  8. Naa its not the "wedding March" they played it as a quartet of strings, im hoping i can just dub over it, but that looks doubtful... guess it serves her right for not planning my part before the day of the wedding.. But oh it is sooo annoying hearing it fart the whole time. If i could only get rid of the spikes in the wave file id be fine.. you can visualy see the farts if only i could reduce it

You can always cut the sound at each peak fart and splice it with an equal amount of sound prior to the cut and do this for every fart session, might sound really hacked but you can say it was a glitch in the audio instead of you saying you had the runs.

Maybe the song you're looking for is Canon by Pachelbel. For weddings, it's typically played with string instruments, but you can find it in piano also.

Visit a relative who was at the wedding preferably an in-law that your sister doesn't like but one who is fairly rich and also not visible in the clip. Bring along a tape recorder and tell him you are doing some voice over editing. Tell him your just testing and have him say things like "What are you filming?? "Is that a microphone?" "Who's that guy?" and so on. Have him say other nice stuff but edit that out later. Now extract the audio from the wedding video and mix it in with this guy jabbering but make his track much louder and the wedding audio much lower. Remux the new audio to the video and try it out. His voice will now drown out the wedding video. You will be off the hook and your sister will blame this bigmouth for ruining the wedding video. No one will dare tell him because he's rich but your off the hook. Now tell her that you also tried to remove his voice but unfortunately that he was also playing with the mike and some other disturbing sounds can still be heard on the edited tape. Now let her view that tape (the original but she doesn't know that). Tell her you can dub the song again if she will tell you the name. You receive all the thanks and glory for restoring the wedding video. You saved the day!
