Ok,
I think I asked this before (last year) but can't find anything meaningful in the history.
What I am basically trying to do is convert an AVI (640x276) to Widescreen DVD using Mainconcept (v1.4.1) but keeping the aspect ratio. In TMPGENC+ I just select 'Full Screen Keep Aspect Ratio' and all is fine (there are still a few black bars top/bottom, but then there should be with 2.35:1).
I tried just importing the AVI into Mainconcept, left the 'Keep Proportions' ticked and set the output (under advanced stuff) as 16:9 but its not right, it still stretches the vertical to fill the screen (i.e. no black bars to 'fill' the 2.35:1 to make 16:9).
Any ideas??
PS I 'test' playback using PowerDVD on the PC.
TIA
Jukka
