I just got a DVD burner about 3 weeks ago. My DVD player didn't play ANY DVDr's so on the 26th I went and bought a new one(Toshiba sd-430). Now I have finally figured out the basics of authoring but the problem is unless I change the audio output to pcm I get no sound. But if I don't have it in bitstream I don't get 5.1 on my other DVDs.
So I am asking how do I get audio without having to switch to PCM?
Is there something I am missing while encoding, or authoring, or should I just say screw it take the player back and get a different one?
Also in AC3machine what should the "dll name" be?

Let me guess, you are authoring DVD's with mp2 audio. Your system is set up to output the audio to an external amp/decoder?
In that case author your DVD's with PCM or Ac3 sound and you won't need to change the output settings.
