I hope I can describe what I'm trying to do clearly so bear with me.
I will be taping a dance recital (my daughters') and hopefully marketing a DVD of the program to the other parents. I'm working with the Dance Instructor to get the music she will use for the program on CD so I can import the audio directly into Premiere Pro instead of using the camera microphone to capture the music.
The issue that comes up is that the Instructor sometimes uses just partial songs or loops segments of songs to make it work with the dance. In the past she has just used a "CD to Tape" in order to get the music she needed. Obviously once the music is on the tape it would be harder for me to use to make a DVD. So we talked about editing the CD tracks and burning the edit to CD-R for use in the recital. Then after the recital I could use the CD-R as the source for the music track in Pro.
FINALLY-my question-Can I use Premiere Pro to edit the tracks into the format needed for the recital and then burn those edited tacks onto CD-R? If so how. If not what do I need to make this work?
Thanks people.
