  1. ive recently authored a dvd with 5 vcd movies on it... 3 and 2 ... the sound is correct at 48 kHz and the video was mpeg2 format... i used dvdlab to author and burn.. now i cant read the dvdr... its a princo dvd-r general data and video dvd recordable disc...i cant even get the disc to play on my comp... it just keeps trying to start the 'initiation' but then fails and restarts... same on standalone gx dv4000.. i have a sony dru510A 4x dual format burner and a pioneer 16x internal dvd player, but none of em play the disc.. why is this?

I've had this kind of error before. I ended up having to re-install Power DVD. That was the only way I could fix the problem. Just in case though, try playing another disc to see if the problem lies with the first disc alone.

  4. yes, the problem lies with the first disc... so it must be the dvdlab... how do i use nero to burn the video ts files? how do i load them into nero to burn? do i do dvd video disk? could it be the dvdlab burning software??? because i could open the dvd from the hard-drive with power dvd... im guessing i should just burn with different software?

Yes...try NERO DVD-VIDEO...I never could get DVDLab to burn correctly for me, but never had any problems with NERO...

Just choose DVD-VIDEO from the "New Compilation" and then drag your VIDEO_TS folder (on the hard drive)files to the VIDEO_TS folder in NERO
