Basic DVD formatting ?

I have Nero 6 and have been having a ----ty time trying to format a dvd for data. I use Nero6 InCD and format then try to drag and drop files on to the dvd, hangs up. But if I copy the files ok, but then try to delete the files, can not, read only. What am I doing wrong? I want a DVD data disc I can store, drag & drop, delete data on, how do I do that.

Sounds like you need a rewritable disc (DVD+/-RW) for what you are trying to do. Especially since you want to delete files.

Make sure you get a disc compatible with your DVD drive (+ or -).
