    i have ab avi that plays in full screen,i want to convert this movie with tmpgenc to put on dvd.i usually tell it to keep aspect ratio.how do i tell it or can i tell it to make it widescreen?

    did i explain that right?
    is this possible?

    You should just keep the aspect ratio. The only way to make a full screen frame into widescreen would be chopping the top and bottom of the screen to fit a widescreen aspect ratio. That means the people's heads in your movie would be chopped off and the same for the bottom portion of the screen.
