I sure could use some help here. My system is a IBM Thinkpad T23 1.13GHz with 512MB memory, integrated DVD player (Toshiba SD-C2512) and USB 2.0 ports through a PCMCIA card. I received a Sony DRX-510UL (external USB 2.0) DVD burner for Christmas.

Using Imation, Optimum and Sony CD-R's I have been able to burn data CD's that I can read in my integral DVD player.

Using Imation DVD+R and -R, Optimum DVD+R and Sony DVD+RW media I have been able to burn data disks that will read in the Sony burner but not in the Toshiba player. Always get the message "Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted or it might be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

Have tried using the following programs: Stomp RecordNow MAX v4.50, Veritas RecordNow DX v4.60 and Nero Burning Rom v6.0.0.0. The results are always the same.

The Toshiba player will read DVD data disks burned on a HP system with integrated DVD burner.

I'm new at this and I assume I'm doing something wrong. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
