  1. Hi

When I create chapters, and let DVDlab play the movie in preview window, there is no sound allthough the move has an audio track. Can it be turned on during preview??

    Cheers

  2. If the Audio track is a .AC3 then the preview window will not play sound. DVDLab allows .ac3 audio to "pass-thru" but does not support it. This means the finished product will work but you cannot preview it in DVDLab.

    Hope this helps

  3. Ok, thank turtle.

But the track is a MP2, but I guess it's the same as AC3.

  4. DVD-lab does not have an audio preview, period, regardless of what format the audio is in.

This is explained on the dvd-lab website.

  5. If it doesnt have audio in the preview that how is it possible to make chapters when you cant hear audio. I used tgmpeg or whatever its called to make clips out of a DVD my band was sent. I loaded all 14 clips into DVD-lab but the sad part was is you have to make them movie 1, movie 2, movie 3 parts. Thats fine and you can link them up together using the flow chart however what happens when you want to create a menu at the beginning of the DVD? Youneed chapters to load into the menu and you cant use "move1" "movie2" as chapters..

so what good is this program then? can anyone help me out?

  6. Chapter points are based on the video and the index frames, audio doesn't enter into the technical aspects of it at all.

Once you have the audio and video files placed in the movie slots in DVD-Lab, either manually enter the chapters or use the chapter wizard to automatically place them based on set criteria.

Once again, if you need to know specifically why DVD-Lab does not have an audio preview, it is explained at www.mediachance.com

Ok so basically my band was sent a DVD of about 14 songs and the chapters are all over the place. So I've converted everything. Earlier today I made 14 clips and put them into move 1, movie 2 etc. When I went to make the menu it couldnt call them chapter points, so how do manually enter chapters? Oh I think what I did was I had all the "movie" clips and went straight to the menu making screen rather than making the 14 movie clips into chapters.. is that what I did wrong?
So basically reimport them all and figure out a way to make those 14 clips into 14 chapters, and then I can make the menu correct? Problem is I have to make somepoint within the clip a chapter. I tried at the end but it wont work. any ideas?

    sorry for my confusion?
