  1. Hi,

I did the following to create DVD
Capture using firewire card thru Studio8 and convert to MPEG2.
Use TMPGEnc to author & burn.

Ofcourse I can play DVD on my player and works fine.
But I want to know from u experienced folks, is anything Iam missing to better encode it(might be with audio/video part)
Am I used TMPGEnc DVDAuthor to the full length??
Is TmPGEnc plus is of any use since I see lot of posts related to TMPGEnc.
In what way it will be useful in my case??

what else can be done with TMPGEnc wrt to encoding
I tried searching for help in using different types but just cud'nt came to conclusion.
    Can anyone help me Please

    Thnks,

It depends if you are satisfied with the quality of your finished product. I am not familiar with Studio 8. TMPGEnc encoder has quite a few adjustments for quality. You could take a short clip (1 minute) of DV video (Type 2), transfered from your source with DVIO or WinDV to you hardrive and run it through TMPGEnc to see if it the quality is any better. Try some different settings for bitrate, etc. Check the 'GUIDES' to the left for TMPGEnc information.
