  1. Hi. Here's the project: I used to split original type-9 dvds into two type-5s using DVDXCopy. Since then, I've discovered DVD Shrink is more than adequate for my needs. Now, i'd like to copy one of my DVDs for a friend but now have to rejoin these two dvds into one title set and then I'll use DVD Shrink to compress it to a single disc size. This normally isn't a problem if all you want is the movie with no menu. But I'd like to have the movie with the original motion menu screens that it used as a single type-9 disc. Is there any program that can rejoin the split AND at the same time rebuild the orginal menus or import the orginal menus. TIA,

  2. Hi, Just thought I would revive this post !
I too want to do this (rejoin a DVD split onto 2 discs and still keep the menus etc).
Does anyone or has anyone successfully achieved this, and if so how ?
I've looked at some of the topics on here, but from what I've read, it appears that they are all about joining main movie files only.

I know I can join files with DVDshrink etc but I'm sure it wont rewrite the structure.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  4. Thanks dimad,

I see there is a demo version available to try before purchasing.
What are the limitations with the demo ?

Has anybody tried this software and if so were you successful, I'd be glad of some feedback whilst I test the demo out for myself - anyways I'll give it a go and post my findings in due course

  5. It explains all the limitations on start up. Basically you have all the functionality as in purchased version but demo will clip all scenes at 15 seconds on export.

  8. Well, I wanted to back up a 2 DVD set of Shrek, with widescreen on one disk, and both sets of extras on the other. So I stripped out the extras for the movie disk, then stripped out both movies and merged the remainder follownig the guide, and it worked.

Not much more to it than that.
