  1. Here's my situation. A friend gave me a 'backup' of 'Lord of the Rings: Return of the King' on DVD. The video looks great, but when I put it in my Toshiba standalone player, I get no audio (this is hooked up to a dolby system via coaxial audio, and the stereo switches to 2-channel stereo but plays nothing). I then put the same DVD in my Xbox, and everything plays perfectly, I get audio. I have NO idea who to fix this one. On a side note, another friend gave me a different version, this one the video isn't quite as good but the audio plays fine on both players. I've never had this problem on my Toshiba.

  2. 1.Did you use the langauge button on your remote?
2.Maybe the audio is DTS and your Toshiba can't decode it.
