a question ... what is your average frame rate ? I've tried different settings for capturing (straight AVI, Huffyuv with lower and higher resolutions and different sample rate settings) but I'm still getting an average frame rate of 24.99800-24.99950. I'm using PAL (25 fps). Perhaps there's an hardware problem ? Anyone with this ?

  2. Mine is about the same as yours. VirtualVcr reports the about same as well.

I've never given it a thought as it doesn't seem to affect anything so I'm guessing it's a non-problem

I think I'm reporting some frame drops (about 0.001%) because of this. Do you ? Dropped frames are not noticeable, but I'd like to know how it handle to others.

  4. I get some dropped frames in Vdub but not Virtualvcr. However as your dropped % only means 15 frames in 150000 copied it's not a problem. I believe (and someone wiser that me can confirm it) that Vdub sometimes delierately drops frames to keep video/audio sync.

Having said all that since I upgraded both the processor and a newer version of ATI MMC (7.7) I now do most of my captures in mpg2 with no frame drops or sync problems - really depends whether I want to edit the captures or not.

So, back to your original question - I don't think there is a problem
