  1. Hi, I'm new to this and was wondering if anyone could help me.

I'm trying to rip The Smashing Pumpkins 1991-2000 Greatest Hits Video Collection to SVCD. It has 20 music videos, band commentary behind the scenes stuff.

I'm trying to follow Sefy's DVD backup guide from dvdrhelp.com(https://www.videohelp.com/sefy/?id=ClassicalGuide.html), but I'm running into problems in the Smartripper part.

Following all the instructions exactly as per guide, I end up with only these 3 files in my directory C:\movie ,
    vts_01_01.vob, vts_01_0.ifo, and vts_01_INFO.txt

On the main screen, I also notice in the bottom right hand corner:
    "Free Disk Space 15,503,152kb
    Requred Disk Space 192,216kb"

which is obviously too small to contain the whole lot.

I also notice that instead of in the tutorial, each Program Chain having 1 angle, "Angle 1", I have 2 Angles, "Angle 1", and below it "Angle 2" for most of the 21 Program Chains. Each of the 2 angles are also slightly different in the amount of disk space required.

In the Rip Process Window, only vts_01_1.vob is displayed.
When I try to highlight another Angle within a program chain and press Start, a dialog box says vts_01_1.vob already exists, overwrite?

Maybe it's something really simple I'm missing, but if anyone can help me get this working, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    martmonster

ps I also tried Instant copy, and ended up with just the longest of the 20 clips, although quality was very good.

  2. Sounds like you have 15 gigs of free space to use and it's extracting a 192 mb file which is rather small. I don't rip DVD's so I don't know why you are only extracting part of the DVD.

Make sure you click the files tab in smartripper and select all files.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. @martmonster, if you are using the "Movie" in Smart Ripper, then it should be selecting your Entire movie automaticly, any chance you can post a picture so we can take a look at it ?
