  1. I have sucessfully made 2 coasters after ripping a Divx file to dvd and then authoring it with tmpg. It goes to burn it and it write to the cd for maybe 2 seconds and gives me this error.




    I am using memorex dvd-r's.

    Any ideas?

    By "ripping a Divx file to dvd" do you mean encoding it to an mpeg file?

    If so, does it play on your PC?

    Also, are you using the proper media for your DVD burner?

  4. Have you tried using rewritable media to see if it is a disc problem?

    That's a media problem. Usually lowering the burn speed will help, but since Sonic's burning app (TMPG DVD Writer) doesn't support this, you'll either have to use higher quality media, or a different burning application.

  6. I ran into the same issue with my LiteOn LDW 411 drive, and Verbatim Datalife 4x DVD+R. I upgraded the firmware on my LiteOn from FS0F to FS0H and that fixed the problem.

    Try installing the latest firmware for your burner.
